The Champagne house that divides opinion. You have those that balk at Krug’s prices and see them as elitist and unapproachable and there are those that believe them to be the king of Champagne. Founded in 1843 by Joseph Krug it is ow owned by LVMH but still run by a the Krug family. The ‘luxury’ brand element is certainly present but the high quality production has remained strong. The Champagne has a rich biscuit flavour with a deep golden hue. It also ages well.
They offer a Grande Cuvee, a vintage and a rosé Champagne as well as Le Clos de Mesnil which is a single vineyard blanc de blancs.
1995 was a very good vintage in Champagne
