Producer Notes
Hamilton Russell in Hemel-en-Aarde in the Western Cape of South Africa are a good place to find excellent value, somewhat Burgundian, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. A little bit of trial and error over the years has finally given way to well-balanced, creamy oaked Chardonnays as well as some clean, pure tasting unoaked variations. The Pinot Noir needs age but is excellent when it has it.
