Part of the same stable as Calon Segur and with investment from the Petrus owners, this tiny Saint-Estephe chateau is already making excellent wines but prices have not yet caught up with quality improvements
Note that the wine has been called Chateau Capbern Gasqueton for generations but since the 2014 vintage the name has been shortened to Chateau Capbern.
The blend is around 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 1% Petit Verdot.
Buy now before everyone finds out! So far, everything has improved since 2014 but the 2015 vintage is particularly notable.
