2014 Domaine Alain Hudelot Noellat Romanee Saint Vivant Grand Cru

Producer Notes

Domaine Alain Hudelot Noellat was established in 1962 and has been run by Charles, grandson to the eponymous Alain, since 2008. Although there is some small white wine production from Aligoté, the majority of wine produced is red wine from the Pinot Noir grape variety. Most of the vineyard area is based around Vosne-Romanée, as well as Nuits St Georges through to Chambolle-Musigny which include some of the most illustrious Grand Cru vineyard holdings. The wines are light and bright in style, with a focus on expressing the purity of the fruit and the terroir of the region. Many of the entry level reds show delicate, floral aromas whilst the Premier Cru and Grand Cru wines have more structure and weight to them, allowing them to evolve more complexity with bottle age.
