Producer Notes
Both negociant and grower, Benjamin Leroux founded his Burgundian label in 2007, having built up a successful career at Domaine du Comte Armand in Pommard. Benjamin is regarded as a very talented and charismatic vigneron, producing wine from his own vineyard sites in the area of Beaune as well as from grapes grown by other recoltants throughout the Côte d’Or. He is insistent on only using fruit that has been grown organically and biodynamically to ensure that the resultant wines reflect their terroir. He also refrains from using too much new oak in the winemaking so as not to mask the purity of the fruit flavours created by the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. This producer is certainly one to watch, not only for the impressive growth in vineyard holdings over the last few years but also for the consistent quality of wine apparent in every bottle.
Vintage Notes
2016 was a very good vintage for red and a good vintage for white wines in Burgundy
