Producer Notes
Giusseppe Mascarello is a Piedmontese producer whose meticulous care and skilful winemaking can be seen throughout their portfolio. Established in the late 1800’s they garnered their reputation from the Monprivato cru in Barolo, one of the most highly prized vineyards in the region, and one they now own the majority share of. The estate is now run by fourth generation Mauro Mascarello who is responsible for the strong reputation they have throughout the world.
Whilst their exceptional Barolos deserve the praise, like most high-profile Barolo the price is creeping up. However, value can be found from the rest of their range particularly their Barbera and Dolcetto.
