Producer Notes
René Rostaing established his Domaine in the early 1970’s from a small number of vines in the Côte Blonde and La Landonne areas of Côte Rôtie. A meticulous and rather modern winemaker Rostaing has a reputation for elegant and fragrant wines and prefers a lighter touch than some when it comes to the use of oak. The area of vineyards owned by the estate has grown considerably thanks to the inheritance through family of several plots, all within Côte Rôtie. A fair number of these contribute to Rene Rostaing Ampodium which is a blend using fruit from around 13 different vineyards.
