With vines located mainly in Morey Saint-Denis and Gevrey Chambertin in Burgundy, the Hubert Lignier Domaine focuses solely on Pinot Noir production to make still, red wines of high quality. The vineyard holdings are very small with many sites of Premier Cru or Grand Cru status, and sustainable practices have been used for generations. Using gravity is an important part of the wine making process to retain the soft, fruit-driven core of the wines and the very best expressions see extended ageing in new oak barrels to add depth and rich flavours. The Hubert Lignier wines are delightful when youthful, with plenty of concentration and freshness, however, the older vintages from the top vineyard sites will offer many more layers of complexity.
