Producer Notes
Clinet, although a long established Pomerol Chateau, was not known for its quality until after the late 1980’s once an overhaul in winemaking practices and viticulture had occurred. Since then the wine has been increasing in quality and has improved its reputation.
The Merlot heavy blend produces a big, powerful wine full of ripe fruit and good tannic structure. It can be little simple and lacks the finesse of others but it does appeal to those who like fruit forward rich Pomerol.
