Wine Notes
Sticking to single grape varieties now, this is 100% Cabernet Franc and therefore the Tuscan Coast approach to Saint Emilion wine. Duemani are two hands, or two people: Elena Celli and Luca D’Attoma, and therefore the polar opposites of some of the bigger producers listed here. The 2015 Duemani Cabernet Franc is perhaps the easiest wine to like from this case but, we believe, may well develop into the most refined over the next 10-15 years.
Producer Notes
Duemani means two hands, which are apparently better than one. In this case they are the (four) hands of Elena and Luca. Elena does sales and marketing, and Luca does wine-making. The vineyards are biodynamic and planted with Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Syrah. Duemani wines are an excellent introduction to Super Tuscans and very good value for the region. The flagship Cabernet Franc is a particularly stunning wine but demands considerable aging (at the very minimum 10 years in most vintages).
Vintage Notes
2015 was a very good vintage in Tuscany
