Producer Notes
Bollinger has remained in the Bollinger family since its inception in 1829 and gained its reputation thanks to the charms of Lily Bollinger in the mid-20th century. The tipple of choice of James Bond and Eddie from Ab Fab (don’t let that put you off) it is often described as a muscular Champagne but can also be light and frisky on the palate. A pinot noir heavy blend, the standard NV cuvee is consistent and well-priced with the vintage Champagne fluctuating depending on the year. Their piece de résistance is the single vineyard Vieilles Vignes Francaises blanc de noirs which comes from pre-phylloxera vines.
