Wine Notes
A lovely example of delicate Pinot Noir. This Volnay from the sometimes tricky 2013 vintage shows the typical, elegant, feminine characters of this village in the Côte de Beaune, a lighter version of its neighbour Pommard. The pale colour belies the intensely fragrant flavours that build up in the glass. Although it has been oak aged for 12 months it doesn’t hinder the purity of the fruit.
Producer Notes
Mischief and Mayhem is an oddly named (something to do with Roald Dahl, we think) micro-negotiant, run by two ex-Berry Bros Brits.
Fortunately their wines are somewhat more traditional than their name and extremely good value at the moment.

Vintage Notes
2013 was a good vintage for red and an above average vintage for white wines in Burgundy
