Producer Notes
Domaine Francois Raveneau is the premier producer in Chablis and, since his (Jean now, not Francois) wines are as good quality as those anywhere in the Cote d’Or but restricted by Chablis price-limits, they are as good a buy as any other Chardonnay in the world. Don’t always be fooled by the classification though: whilst the Grand Crus are exceptional, many of the Premier Crus are as good, if not better. Our first choice would be the Premier Cru, Forêt.
